Is it possible

Is it possible to have a non-verbal assault?  I have been trying to rationalize this because I can see it going either way.

    I think there can be non-verbal defamation, but for assault I guess if someone if making a hand gesture that could indicate immediate harm that would most likely constitute as an assault.
