The result of our jury was hung in both a criminal and civil case.

In a criminal case it was an even 5 against 5 split -- 5 Not Guilty, 5 Guilty.

Not Guilty: The reasoning because of the faulty eye witnesses, the possibility of other people having the same knife, the poor job in court by the defense attorney, and the height difference/knife angle between the boy and his father that came later in the movie.

Guilty: The reasoning because the boy had been in previous knife fights, couldn't remember the name of the movie he saw, had a rough past with his father, and was heard yelling 'I'm going to kill you!'.

However, after much discussion of the evidence, and some insight from individuals who had seen the movie, our jury changed slightly.

In a civil case 8 of us considered the boy liable due to preponderance of evidence, yet 2 still remained firm that the boy was innocent.
