Answers to Chapter 13 p. 358 questions 7, 8 and 9 (8:00 a.m class)

7. Its a unilateral contract because of the promise for an act. The police station promised to hire the new staff if they pass the test, and they did, but the police station failed to hire them. Because they didn't hire them, it was a breach of contract that was written. In order for the contract to be enforceable, it clearly has to be stated that it is an actual offer of employment.

8. It was implied that they were equal business partners since they received the same salary and almost did equal work. The quasi contract clause comes into effect because they did not have a contract exclusively stated, but because of how much work she took on, the quasi contract was applied. He would have been unjustly benefited at her expense if he were to receive the whole company.

9. Pucello is liable to the attorney because he was unjustly benefited from Feingold's work. Because Pucello knew that Feingold was working on his accident case and even used the investigation summed by Feingold, Pucello agreed to a quasi contract.
